A little bit about me

I have been studying Shamanism for around 2 years now. I have a wonderful teacher. She's also one of my best friends. She's the one that really made me realize my true path. I've always been drawn to mythology & ancient religions. I've also been able to see things & know things. I'm a healer & an empath. Which makes it hard sometimes for me to help my friends with problems they have.It also makes relationships hard for me. I'm with a wonderful man that has been seriously burned in the past. He knows that I love him very much & I know that he cares for me. But I don't know if I'll ever hear the words from him. Which is fine. And I know that makes me sound crazy, but knowing him like I do, I know that he shows how he feels rather than say it. And sometimes, he drives me nuts. But that's just life with him. lolI'd love to talk to anyone that can help me overcome my reluctance to tell my parents about my beliefs. My parents are Baptist & my Dad is a preacher. I know that at some point I'll have to tell them, but I worry about my Dad's heart condition. Not to mention his other health problems. I do what I can for him, but he's pretty closed off. And anyone with a pinch of sense knows that in order to heal or begin healing someone, that person has to be open at least a little bit to the engeries.I hope this day finds everyone well. May the Goddess guide you in light & in love.Tags:

Merry Meet and welcome! I just finished a book this afternoon called Soul on Fire by Peter Calhoun. He was an Episcopal priest who left the church because he was called to be a shaman. Wonderful book and it may give you some idea of how (or whether)to tell your parents about your life path.
